Whether you have chipped or crooked teeth or if you’ve noticed staining after many years of coffee or tobacco use, cosmetic dentistry is a great way to get the smile you’ve always dreamed of at an affordable cost. After proper dental exams and tooth cleaning, we can make your smile beautiful with cosmetic services such as teeth whitening and bleaching, bonding, porcelain veneers and tooth-colored fillings.
In most cases, cosmetic dentistry is not a major operation and does not require a substantial amount of your time.
Tooth Whitening / Tooth Bleaching
Teeth Whitening is a painless, two-appointment process, and is the most commonly prescribed cosmetic dental procedure. This system is very safe and effective and allows optimal whitening with very little tooth sensitivity. On the first visit, we take an impression of your teeth and make custom whitening trays specifically for you. On the second visit, you receive your custom bleaching trays, whitening gel and instructions on how to whiten your teeth. This step is conveniently done at home, at your leisure.
Porcelain Veneers
Porcelain veneers can change the shape of your teeth and correct slight crowding by bonding ultra-thin, custom-made sheets of porcelain directly to the tooth. This type of restoration is similar to a full porcelain crown, but we are able to minimally remove tooth structure from the front of the tooth to recreate a beautiful smile.
Porcelain veneers are a great option for closing gaps or disguising discolored teeth that did not respond well to whitening procedures.
Dental Implants: Alternative to Crowns, Bridges & Dentures
Crowns and conventional bridges or dentures are not the only options when replacing missing teeth. For some people, dental implants offer a smile that looks and feels very natural. Surgically placed below the gums over a series of appointments, implants fuse to the jawbone and serve as a base for individual replacement teeth, bridges or a denture.
Implants offer stability because they fuse to your bone. Integration of the implants into your jaw also helps your replacement teeth feel more natural and some people also find the secure fit more comfortable than conventional substitutes.
Tooth Bonding
The bonding procedure is a one-visit, painless appointment that can change your smile instantly. The bonding procedure involves sculpting individual teeth to an ideal shape which is then hardened and polished. Bonding is usually performed on chipped or discolored front teeth or to close small gaps. Patients are thrilled to see the instant change we can make with their smiles after bonding.
Composite Tooth-Colored Fillings
Composites are long lasting and blend in with the color of your teeth that can go in any tooth, making it look beautiful and natural. These fillings also allow us to protect and maintain your remaining tooth structure by chemically bonding the composite to your tooth.
Composite fillings are a mixture of glass or quartz filler in a resin medium that produces a tooth-colored filling. Composite fillings provide good durability and resistance to fracture in small- to-mid-size restorations that need to withstand moderate chewing pressure. Less tooth structure is removed when the dentist prepares the tooth, and this can result in a smaller filling than that of silver amalgam.
